Intro to Glass Blowing
Peter Ridabock, Workshop at Peter’s East Kingston studio
Saturday, May 11 (two sessions), 11:00 am – 1:00 pm or 2 pm to 4 pm
Peter Ridabock, an accomplished glass artist for over 20 years, will introduce you to the world of glass blowing. You will learn how to create a paperweight of your own design. Choose from various colors of glass, design elements, and techniques to try something truly unique and exciting! |

Learn to improve and expand on glass blowing techniques. Experiment with a variety of tools and equipment to create a tumbler of your own design. Classes are small, with lots of hands- on learning and personal attention.

Beginning Jewelry

Learn basic skills in this 10 hour class. Designing, sawing, filing, polishing, bezel making, and texturing metal techniques will be taught. Design and make a sterling silver pendant with a bezel set gemstone. |

One Day Jewelry Making Workshop

Saturday, April 6, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
This beginner’s workshop teaches you how to make jewelry out of sterling silver sheet and wire. Cutting shapes, filing, hammering, and surface texturing will be explored. Demonstrations will be given along with studio time for you to create a simple pendant or pair of earrings. Additional silver can be purchased from the instructor. This workshop makes a great transition into the 8 week “Beginning Jewelry” class. (Ages 15 – adult)

Basic Jewelry, Continued

If you have previous jewelry experience, and you want to reinforce your skills, this is the class for you! Soldering, sawing, filing – all the basics will be reviewed in detail, and practice time will be available. Bring in a project that you are working on, and a small quick project will be done in class. |

Bangle Bracelet Workshop

Pearl Jewelry Workshop

Pearls are fashion classics, they never go out of style! Join us for a pearl workshop, where you will learn about these timeless beauties. You will drill and set pearls, and each make a pair of earrings and a simple pendant. Extra pearls and silver will be available to purchase for additional projects. Previous jewelry experience helpful.

Wheel Throwing Basics

Learn to Throw in One Day

Saturday, April 6, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Learn the basics of how to throw a pot on a potter’s wheel from start to finish. This hands-on, intensive workshop is ideal for students who have never worked in clay or haven’t touched clay for years. In just four hours, complete at least one piece to take home after it is fired in the kiln.( Ages 16 - adult) |

Nuno Felting – Art to Wear

Saturday, April 27, 10:00 pm – 3:00 pm
This class is for any experience level. You will learn about felting materials, techniques, i.e.: “laminating” loose fibers to fabric, using wet felting techniques to form a new fabric, and a little folklore. Use Merino wool roving, other luxurious fibers, art yarns, wool curls, and chiffon silk fabric to create a decorative, lightweight art piece you can wear or hang proudly on your wall. Your finished work will be approximately 12” x54”. Bring four big towels with you. They will not be harmed.

Note: Workshop participants will have the opportunity to return and glaze their pieces at a later date.

Registration and Policies

Students are considered registered when tuition is paid in full. If, after paying, a student is unable to attend, tuition will be refunded, less a $25 processing fee, only if student withdraws (by phone or in writing) at least 10 days prior to the first class. No refunds will be given after that time.
If the class is cancelled by EFC or the date is changed and the student is unable to attend, a full refund will be given. In case the class is cancelled or the date is changed, students will be notified one week prior to the advertised start of class.
Every effort will be made to contact students if class is cancelled due to severe weather. Students may also contact the shop. A make-up class will be scheduled.
Separate tuition checks are required for each class/workshop.

Studio information: studios are open for the use of registered students from 10am-4:30pm daily, 12-3:00pm on Sundays during the duration of the class, except when other classes are scheduled. Studios are not open between sessions.
